I've been away for a while, not physically, you understand, but in terms of being able to post.
Since my last post, my kayak school buddy, bought a raft company. So while you are learning to paddle a whitewater kayak, your family can try the river on a guided raft trip. Click on either of the above links to learn more.

Sprint/Slalom Race at Sportsfest 2009 Saturday, July 18, 2009
The Lehigh Valley Canoe Club and the Lehigh Valley Whitewater Kayak Club are co-sponsoring a Sprint Slalom race on the Little Lehigh in the Lehigh Parkway July 18.
Register at the event between 9 and 10am.

Just Paddle Sea Kayak Event
September 5 and 6, 2009 - Labor Day Weekend at Sugar Island on the St. Lawrence River in Canada.
This is a kayak-camping get-together for ACA sea kayakers and their guests.
We welcome clubs and individuals from the Chesapeake, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania and elsewhere to join us.
Sugar Island is a 35 acre undeveloped island in the heart of the beautiful 1000 Islands - a central base for paddling in the Lake Fleet group of Islands.
